All orders are shipped within 1-2 business days by the method you chose during checkout. Any changes to shipping are to be made as soon as possible on the same day either by email or phone (we try to ship out all orders immediately so we cannot guarantee this). USPS and UPS are our preferred carriers.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping address. If you are returning customer after a long period we encourage you to check your account information (address, email, phone# etc) before making your purchase. Before we ship each address is scrutinized for accuracy and is validated through USPS to check whether or not address is in correct format and correct minor errors like (example: if it is a street in place of avenue it will correct it or minor typhos). Those who provide us with incorrect or expired address will be responsible for to pay for re-shipping their orders in the even package comes back undelivered. USPS sometimes leaves note for large package if no one is available to receive. UPS will drop off the packages unless you give special instructions or ask for signature confirmation (which costs extra).

What is your return policy?
If you need to return something you have purchased, please email us about the issue on customer@softwarebuyer.net and then login and file a RMA online by clickingReturns
Softwarebuyer.net accepts returns for all new items ordered through the website (does not apply to items won or purchased through ebay auctions and other channels like pricegrabber.com) for refund within 30 days after from order date and payment date provided that the item is sealed/not opened or opened. In order to return such an item you must obtain a proper proper Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) within 30 days of invoice date and we should receive the item within 15 days of RMA issue date. No returns would be accepted without a RMA number.
We can only take returns on software items that are sealed and in original condition. Items with tampered packaging cannot be accepted.
Shipping & handling charges on returned merchandise is non refundable.
There are no returns accepted for international purchases under any circumstance.
Opened, used or clearance items purchased from us are sold "as is" and non returnable under any circumstance. If retail merchandise is old stock (for example retail box of Quicken 2001) and if manufacturer no longer supports it or is out of business then it is not our responsibility and such items cannot be returned. It is for the buyer to do the research.
Retail products can be returned in the above time period. If retail merchandise is defective it goes to their manufacturers warranty, you need to contact manufacturer directly as the retail items are covered by manufacturer’s warranty.
OEM software with is non-returnable unless it proves to be defective. Defective items will be exchanged with similar item after verifying serial number. If item is found non-defective it will be returned back to you.
CD software and games which do not come with serial numbers can be returned for merchandise refund within 30 days of the invoice date.

If you received a package damaged in shipping, it is best to refuse the item back to the carrier attempting delivery. If you noticed the item is damaged after you have accepted the item, please notify the carrier immediately about the damage and contact us at customer@softwarebuyer.netto file a claim within 5 days of the arrival of the item.
If the product is good and you don't like it or it is not compatible with your system, we cannot accept the product back for a refund. The buyer is ultimately responsible for making sure that the software will run on their systems. NON-DEFECTIVE RETURNS MAY BE SUBJECT TO A MINIMUM 15% RE-STOCKING FEE of the item price.
How do I return something?
Merchandise must be returned in sturdy packaging via a traceable carrier service; e.g. UPS, FEDEX. Items under $100 can be returned via USPS with delivery confirmation.
Shipping charges on returned items are the customer’s responsibility. SoftwareBuyer.net pays for the shipping of the exchange items (if applicable). We strongly recommend fully insure your returned shipment in case of loss or damage. If returns are expensive (over $200) then it is recommended that you select a shipping method which provides proof of delivery.
Please be aware that the serial number on the item to be returned must match the original serial number of the product that was shipped to you. If you attempt to return an item that was not bought from SoftwareBuyer.net the item will be shipped back at your expense. In addition, all fraudulent returns will be reported to the credit card issuer.
In the event of a return replacement, we’ll share the shipping costs as follows; the customer will pay for shipping the item back to us, and we'll pay for shipping its replacement. This is a standard policy most online retailers have in handling returns.
All returns must include the following:
Original packaging (manufacturer's box, foam, plastic bags, etc.)
Original intact UPC barcode. Do not cut out the UPC code (for rebates) until you have examined and tested the product to your satisfaction. Removal of the UPC code voids any possibility of return regardless of RMA or credit request status.
Valid Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#).
All accessories (adapters, wires, remotes, batteries, software disks, etc.)
The RMA number must not be written on the original manufacturer's packaging or box. Please write the RMA number on the label used to return the item or the brown shipping box. Items received with any writing on the original manufacturer's packaging or box will be refused and returned to you without credit approval.
