Placing Orders
We take all retail orders through our the website, only bulk orders can be received through purchase orders, checks and wire transfers. In order to maintain low prices we don't have dedicated staff to take phone orders. Also due to new PCI compliance regulation we stopped taking credit card information on phone. However if you have any questions, feel free to call us on (203) 576-6516 during weekdays between 10 am to 5 pm or leave a message with your number and we will call you back. Before placing orders (even for products you are familiar with) please care to read description especially the packaging information for software whether it is retail box, oem, academic etc. Please research the software title you are interested in prior to completing the purchase. Make sure your computer meets the system requirements described in every item. It is the customer responsibility to verify system capabilities and product needs before purchasing software products. International customers should note that most of the products we sell are manufactured in the US and are in English unless otherwise mentioned. Hardware items unless otherwise mentioned are manufactured to N. American standards, it is for buyers to find out if product works in their country. Retail Box/pack - Retail software/hardware/electronics including the box, same or similar to those found in stores.
OEM - OEM means Original Equipment Manufacturer packaging. OEM is software that was intended to be sold bundled with new pc or hardware to end users and to resellers or system builders. Different OEM products come with the their own licensing agreement as set forth by the manufacturer. Some OEM products are functionally same in quality and content as their retail counterparts but only differ in their licensing terms. They often don't come with any warranty or support. OEM titles usually ship as CD Only or sometimes in a DVD case.
CD only or CD with keycode - CD only in paper sleeve (usually electronic files or help menu in the CD) / CD Only with keycode is the same but the authentic keycode is included with the software. Colorful Sleeve - CD is encased in a colorful sleeve, sometimes in tri or bi fold full color cardboard sleeve. Does not contain paper manual, but does contain help files on CD. Jewel Case - Retail software encased in a jewel case with color inserts with or without users guide (usually electronic files or help menu in the CD). Mostly games or cheap retail software comes in such packaging
DVD Case - CD or DVD is shipped in a DVD Case (similar to movie rental cases) and can contain paper inserts however may not contain a manual.
Flat Pack - Flat pack may be oem or just contain license or media, may or may not contain manuals.
Academic - Functionally it may be identical to the retail version but some limitations may be imposed by manufacturers or it may lack the extras that come in retail box. There are now special "Student / Teacher Edition," from manufacturers like Microsoft with limitations on upgrades.
License pack - License pack will only carry licenses in sealed envelopes. It will not include any media.
Most of the items you see on the website are in stock. Our inventory is dynamic as we sell through multiple channels, there is a rare chance that an item may become out of stock, you will be notified immediately if such a situation arises.
Types of Payment accepted
1. All major Credit Cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. 2. Paypal or Google Checkout. 3. Money Orders, cashiers/personal and Business Checks. 4. Wire transfers for orders over $1000 (please contact us at customer@softwarebuyer.net for bank information) 5. International buyers can pay by international money orders or checks in US Dollars which must be drawn from a US bank (preferably in New York).
International customers can place orders normally with one of the above credit card without worrying about currency conversion.
Sales Tax of 6% is applied those orders shipped within Connecticut.
After placing a order successfully you will immediately receive a receipt in your email. Some orders will be reviewed and sometimes we may call the customer to verify order/address information in case we have doubt. It is mandatory for all international customers to provide their phone numbers.
Shipping
All orders are shipped out the same day or the next business day by the method you chose. In a unlikely event item is temporarily out of stock we will notify you when it will get shipped out. For all orders requesting express shipping we need to have your phone# and if such an order is paid by credit card, then billing and shipping information must match. USPS shipments sent by 1st class, media mail or priority mail only come with delivery confirmation# and not a tracking# per se.
